Start Line Trips is a small editorial site. We collect as little as we need to understand what helps runners plan trips, and we do not sell personal data.

Who we are

Start Line Trips is a small editorial site operated from the UK. We help runners plan destination race weekends with indicative trip costs and practical logistics.

Analytics

When configured, we use PostHog (EU hosting by default) to measure how the site is used: page views, which races people open, and whether hotel, flight, or activity links are seen or clicked. That is how we tell whether the trip planner is doing its job.

PostHog runs in cookieless mode: it does not set a cookie or store an identifier in your browser. It may still receive an approximate location from IP, plus browser and device details, so we can see aggregate usage. We do not use this to profile you or to serve ads.

Analytics is on by default so we can improve the site. You can stop it on this browser with the button below. We store that choice in local storage on your device so we can honour it. The site still works either way.

Affiliate and booking partners

Outbound hotel, flight, and activity links may be affiliate links. When you click through, the partner may set their own cookies and process booking data under their privacy policy. We may receive aggregated commission reports, not your payment card details. See estimates & affiliate disclosure.

If you join the mailing list, your email is stored with Beehiiv, who send the newsletter on our behalf. We use it to send race-trip planning notes, not to spam you. You can unsubscribe from any message.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact page, Web3Forms delivers your name, email, and message to [email protected] so we can reply. We do not add you to the newsletter unless you join it separately.

Your rights

If you are in the UK/EEA you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Use the contact form or email [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we can.
