The route

Starts and finishes at the Arc de Triomf on a fast urban course sweeping past Sagrada Familia, modernist avenues and the seafront. Flat, wide and PB-friendly in mild February weather.

Entry fee

Indicative entry is £45 per runner. Confirm the current bib price on the official site; ballot, charity, and tour prices can differ. The weekend total (hotel, travel, extras) sits in the estimator, not in the bib price.

Where to stay

The Eixample and Ciutat Vella (Gothic Quarter) sit within walking distance of the Arc de Triomf start.

Getting there

Barcelona El Prat is 30-35 minutes to the centre by Aerobus or train; the Arc de Triomf start is a short metro hop.

That weekend

The expo runs at Fira de Barcelona; the weekend pairs well with Sagrada Familia visits, Park Guell and tapas in El Born.

Sample 4-day trip

Arrive, explore, race, then head home. A proper weekend, not a rushed fly-by.

  1. Day 1: Arrive

Fly into Barcelona (BCN). The Aerobus reaches Plaça Catalunya in about 35 minutes, or take the train. Public transport works well. Book a private transfer for late arrivals.

Check into Eixample or the Gothic Quarter . The Arc de Triomf start is a short Metro hop away.

  2. Day 2: Shakedown Run and Explore the City

Collect your bib at the Fira expo . Jog an easy shakeout toward the Arc de Triomf or along the beachfront.

Book Sagrada Família tickets if you want a fixed plan. February weather is mild and PB-friendly. Early dinner and an early night.

  3. Day 3: Race Day

Starts and finishes at the Arc de Triomf. From Eixample, many runners walk. The course sweeps past Gaudí landmarks and the seafront.

Afterwards, tapas in El Born or a simple beachside lunch. Keep the afternoon gentle.

  4. Day 4: Final Day

If the flight allows, Park Güell at a stroll or one last Gothic Quarter coffee. Aerobus back to BCN is straightforward, but leave margin.

Three nights turns a fast Mediterranean half into a proper Barcelona break.
