The course
The race is run on a tight 1.25km loop through the historic centre of Bolzano, lapping past medieval arcades under floodlights on New Year's Eve. Thousands of spectators pack the streets, giving this South Tyrol classic a uniquely intimate, festive feel.

Getting there
Fly to Verona (VRN) and take the train up to Bolzano in about 1h40; Innsbruck (INN) is another option across the Brenner Pass.
That weekend
The elite races share the day with public 5K runs; the surrounding Dolomites offer skiing, and Bolzano's Christmas market and Otzi the Iceman museum fill the weekend.

Day 1: Arrive
Fly into Verona (VRN). Trenitalia trains reach Bolzano in about 1h40. There is no airport in Bolzano itself. Book a private transfer from Verona if you prefer door-to-door with kit.
Check into Bolzano historic centre around Piazza Walther . NYE means Christmas markets and floodlit cobbles.

Day 2: Shakedown Run and Explore the City
Collect your bib per BOclassic instructions . Jog an easy shakeout along the Talvera meadows, not on the tight race circuit.
Visit the Ötzi museum or wander the Christmas market. The race is a 1.25 km loop through medieval arcades under floodlights.

Day 3: Race Day
New Year's Eve circuit race through Bolzano's old town. From Piazza Walther hotels, walk to the start. Thousands of spectators pack the streets.
Afterwards, celebrate in the Alpine old town. The loop format means you pass the same cafés multiple times: enjoy the atmosphere.

Day 4: Final Day
Recovery walk through the Christmas market or Dolomites day trip if legs allow. Train back to Verona for the flight home.
