The course
Starts and finishes in central Tromso, tracing the waterfront and crossing the iconic Tromso Bridge with the Arctic Cathedral in view. Gently rolling and run in full daylight around midnight.
Where to stay
Tromso city centre near the harbour puts you within walking distance of the start and the bridge.
Getting there
Tromso Airport is around 10-15 minutes by bus or taxi to the city centre and start.
That weekend
A compact expo and pasta party precede the late-evening start; add a fjord cruise, cable car up Storsteinen or a whale-watching trip.
Sample 4-day trip
Arrive, explore, race, then head home. A proper weekend, not a rushed fly-by.
-
Day 1: Arrive
Fly into Tromsø (TOS). The airport bus reaches the centre in 10–15 minutes. Book a private transfer for late arrivals.

-
Day 2: Shakedown Run and Explore the City
Collect your bib at the Midnight Sun Marathon expo . Jog an easy waterfront shakeout in daylight that barely dims.

-
Day 3: Race Day

-
Day 4: Final Day
